Make 6 equal sized meatballs with the 1 lb of ground beef.
Preheat your griddle to 350 degrees
First, sauté the onions. Add the onions! Once they become soft, season with salt and black pepper. Then, remove them and set aside.
Set your griddle to sear mode! Now, smash up those burgers! Lay the meatballs on the griddle and smash them with either a burger smasher or 2 spatulas. Flatten the meat and season with garlic salt and black pepper. Season only one side of the patty. Flip after 2 minutes, then turn your griddle to low, (turn 2 knobs to low heat) the other knob towards the far left leave at 350 degrees.
Add your pastrami to the side where it’s at 350 degrees. After one minute, fold 2 pieces of pastrami together and top with Swiss cheese. Add another piece of cheese to 3 burger patties and stack one with cheese on top of the one with no cheese. The, top with the cheesy pastrami.
Make sure to toast your buns with butter.
Once the top bun is toasted add it to the top of the burger. Now, let’s assemble! Add mayo to the bottom bun, followed by lettuce, a slice of tomato and finally the sautéed onions. Lastly, crown with that tower of burger and pastrami.
Notes
Serve along fries or your favorite side. Use the cheese you like the most and add any other condiments you like.
