Here is a great recipe for your next tailgating, or a family gathering. These chicken lollipops are sure to make your guests happy! With the smokiness from the grill and the sweetness from that bbq sauce, next-level chicken.

-Let’s preheat the grill to 350 degrees. You can cook your chicken opposite of the heat. Now let’s make that simple marinade.
-In a bowl, add 1 cup of bbq sauce (your choice) 1/4 cup olive oil, and 6 minced garlic cloves. Now, let’s French the chicken drumsticks by getting a sharp knife and cutting just where the meat ends.
-You wanna cut mainly the skin, cut around it with tendons and all. Grab a paper towel and the skin up and over the knuckle of the chicken drumstick. It’s ok if some tendons stay. Now push the meat towards the bottom making a lollipop shape. Be careful with this step as there is a small bone, you can choose to cut them off.
-Now in a zip lock bag marinade the chicken for at least 30 min. Then place these on the grill.
-Grill them until 160 internal temperature. Now grab your reserved marinade and baste the chicken, leave it for an additional 10 min this will get the sauce nice and tacky.
-Now remove them and let cool for 3 min before serving.
-Serve along your favorite side! I highly recommended a meat thermometer.
