Easy Beef Kabobs

easy kabob

Beef Kabobs don’t have to be hard. This recipe is easy to put together and the best part of all is the easy kabobs tool that does all the hard work.

Length of time from start to finish:  1:15 min
Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb 85/15 ground beef
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 bunch flat-leaf parsley (stems removed)
  • 1 small sweet onion
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 medium tomatoes
  • 3 spring onions
  • 6 pita bread slices

Yogurt Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 minced garlic clove
Instructions:

-Preheat your grill to 350 degrees.

-Then let’s mix the ground beef. In a bowl combine, 1 lb ground beef, parsley, Panko, onion, cumin, minced garlic, salt, chili flakes, black pepper, and oregano, mix really well.

-Then grab your easy kabob maker and stuff it with the ground beef mixture, add your skewers to the top of the tool and press down, this is the easiest way I have made kabobs. Check out easykabob.com

– Once the kabobs are assembled, place them in the refrigerator so that the meat can tighten back up while you prep everything else. You can always keep it traditional by using your hands to mold the meat around a kabob skewer, or you can make patties.

-Now prep your veggies, remove the green stems from the spring onions and add them to a skewer, the tomatoes, rinse under cool running water and place in their own skewer.

-Now it’s time to make your sauce, in a bowl mix, plain yogurt, minced garlic, cumin, lemon juice, dill, black pepper, and olive oil, add salt to taste. Place your sauce in the refrigerator once it’s done.

-Now it’s time to grill, place your skewers on the grill, turn every 3 min until the outside is nicely crusted. I removed mine after 15 min. The tomatoes take about 6 min to cook while the onions take about 15 min.

-Add a pinch of salt to the veggies when they are cooling down. Warm your pita bread and now it’s time to assemble, add your kabob meat, onion and tomatoes, then top it with that yogurt sauce.

Remove the veggies once they are tender and nicely charred. I used 85/15 ground beef as that is what they had at the store. I recommend 80/20. The kabob skewers are also sold by the easy kabob company.
