Start off by prepping all the veggies! Dice the bell peppers, dice the sweet onions, slice the tomatoes and slice the lettuce.
Preheat the griddle on high heat. Once preheated, lay down the burgers on the griddle and season those up with salt and pepper. After 3 min flip, after 3 more minutes, add the bell peppers and onions to the burgers. Add salt and pepper, then chop the meat and veggies with the spatula incorporating everything.
After the beef begins to crisp up, add the cheese. At this point, lower the heat to 350 on the griddle.
Now incorporate the cheese in with the meat, chop the cheese right into it, and once it’s melted, turn off the griddle.
Toast the buns with mayo or butter and assemble, add mayo and ketchup to the buns, add the meat, now the lettuce and finally the tomatoes, season the tomatoes up.
