Carne Asada Tacos

If you are a taco lover, this one is for you! Very easy to make and goes really well with the salsa. I like to use thinly sliced chuck roast for this cook.

Length of time from start to finish: 45 min
Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients:
  • 2 lbs thin sliced chuck roast
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
Guacamole Salsa ingredients:
  • 3 hass avocados
  • 6 large tomatillos
  • Juice of 5 lemons
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 sweet onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 serrano peppers
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat your grill to 350 degrees.

-Now let’s season the meat and place the meat in a bowl.

-Add the cooking oil, mix it, then add your favorite carne asada seasoning. I highly recommend the all-purpose from Spanglish asadero.

-Now place it aside and let’s make this super easy guacamole salsa. Wash everything under cool running water and add all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

-Place in a bowl and add salt and pepper to taste. Remove the seeds from the avocados and the stems from the serrano peppers.

-Now let’s cook up the meat. Sear the meat 3 min per side then remove it and chop it with a cleaver.

-Warm-up your tortillas, now let’s assemble, add the meat, and garnish with cilantro and onion, top the taco with a spoonful of guacamole.

These tacos are a must try. The char from the flames on the meat just brings out a ton of flavor. You can sub the meat for flap meat.
